Duets (and occasional trios) with Amanda Turk at various movement events in Massachusetts and Vermont.
More about Amanda Turk: Amanda holds the generational beat of the drum in her blood. Both her father and her paternal grandfather were drummers. She grew up in the epicenter of the music world with her family business, Colony Records of NYC. In 2006 she discovered the darbuka, a type of tabla, and passionately began her study of Middle Eastern percussion under the guidance of contemporary percussion masters Raquy Danziger (Brooklyn/Istanbul), Bunyamin Olguncan (Istanbul), and Todd Roach (Brattleboro, VT). She makes regular pilgrimages to Turkey to delve deeper into a style called the Turkish Split Hand Technique and applies these techniques to a variety of drums including handpan, frame drum, riq, and cajon. When her hands are not on a drum, Amanda nurtures her community with her passion for bodywork in a 20 year massage therapy practice in Northampton, MA.

Live recordings arising in western Massachusetts - Konvergenz formed in the summer of 2019 to create spontaneous music for dancers and all beings.

Konvergenz is a delightfully fresh cosmic explosion of different life perspectives being integrated into one unified whole. The purpose: Raise The Vibration and Make The People Dance through spontaneously created ecstatic music. With an ever shifting cast of musicians, Konvergenz morphs through improvised electroacoustic soundscapes that are haunting, insightful, alluring, and catalytic, drawing the listener into a frenzied trance of collective inspiration.

The varying lineup (different for each performance), includes: Marie Murry / Eyeball – Etheric Vocals Nash Atkins – Guitar, Synth, Vocals, Percussion Charlotte Malin – Viola, Vocals Glenn Smith – Drum Kit, Djembe, Balafon, Melodica, Vocals Thomas Matherly - Bass Jed Blume - tabla, percussion, electronic percussion Gabe Salomon –Synth/Keys/Guitar/Drum James Bird - bass, vocals
